Description

Who doesn’t love a #selfie? Use this End of the Year #Selfie activity to not only keep your students engaged, but to also allow them to reflect on all of the wonderful things the school year held for them.

If you loved my Back to School #Selfie to help teach procedures, then you will love this as you wrap up the school year! 🙂

You can use this as a simple writing activity each day, have students complete a page each morning as they come in as sort of a countdown until the end of the year, or do it all at once!

Here are a few ideas:

  • Split up the activity and have 1 student complete 1 page for the class. Use the letter photo cards to create a bulletin board display with all of the End of Year #selfies. (See a picture on my blog)
  • Copy the templates onto colored paper or cardstock. If you have used camera devices to snap selfies during the year doing the activity or with the person, then simply print the pictures and allow students to glue them onto the templates. You could also do this for only a few, such as the teacher one. A picture of you with each child could be a gift to them.
  • Use the mini-book version to allow the students to create their own memory book.
Share the task of creating a class book. Have each student illustrate on the large selfie paper. Use the book cover provided (color or black &white) to create a class book. OR you can use these templates to have students create a larger version of a memory book.Happy Teaching!
