Sometimes the thought of keeping a second home, a classroom, organized just makes you crazy. There are so many things to keep together. I’m going to share some of my classroom organization tips for keeping it all together in the classroom. As I have shared before, I have moved my classroom many times. The first year I moved, I invested in good, sturdy tubs that made it both easy to keep my things organized and easy to move. These tubs have been one of the best investments that I have made!
I also like to keep what is inside the cabinets organized. I know not everyone is like this, but I HATE standing on a chair and digging through my cabinets when I’m looking for “that thing that I just KNOW is in here somewhere!!”
I’m sure many of you do this, but I never did until about 4 years ago-sort my construction paper by color. WOW! What a difference it made! If you are clueless like I was, now you aren’t! Get busy sorting!!
During the week, I keep my teaching supplies in this stack of tubs. It was very hard to find one that had 6 drawers like this. When I graduated from college, my now husband said, “What do you absolutely need to be successful at teaching?” I said, “A 6 drawer tub tower!” Bless his heart! He search all around for it and finally found this one at an office supply store. I have had it every since! I like that it keeps things hidden and neat.

Now, what I’m NOT showing you is my never ending “file pile” that I am horrible about!!
What is your solution? What are you favorite classroom organization tips?
