I don’t know about you guys, but my week has been FULL of ENERGY! Thankfully, we had a smaller group towards the end of the week so the sugar high wasn’t as high as it could have been.
This week we have finished up learning about forms of energy. I just wanted to share what we did!
We starting by discussing what I knew they would be most familiar with and have the greatest amount of background knowledge. We didn’t make a foldable for light, but we did this cute little write up. This little smartie told me that fireflies are a form of light and she needs them so that she can play outside! I liked her outside of the box thinking!
We learned about sound as a form of energy and made a flip book to record what we learned about sound pitches.
We then finished the week with learning about heat as a form of energy. We created a foldable as we discussed man-made and natural sources of heat energy. Monday we will finish by conducting heat investigations outside. We will use a foldable to record our findings. I’m a little obsessed with foldables! But ya’ll, they are SOOO easy to use and just slap into their science journals!
