My class last year LOVED write around the room. In my writing station I would place a basket with cute notepads from, none other than, Target $1 spot, and the kids would choose a notepad, walk around the room, and make a list of words they could read throughout the classroom. They ATE IT UP! I have tried doing read around the room with a pointer, but it never ended well. I saw this on Pinterest and liked the can of paint sticks with letters. I thought, “hmmm…..maybe that will give them more direction as they read around the room.”
This is how mine turned out! I just used a cute font, printed them on yellow card stock, traced circles around them, cut them out (this part was NOT fun!), and then glued them on. I hope the kids like them! If not, well it only cost me a piece of paper and a bit of ink. The sweet grandpa at the home improvement store gladly handed them over to me!
(Not too sure why it uploaded sideways when it’s not saved that way on my computer. Any ideas??)
