It’s All About the Chevron!

Okay, it’s not REALLY all about the chevron decor.  It’s about teaching and loving kids in a meaningful way that will LAST.

I’m not going to even pretend, though.  I enjoy decorating.  I enjoy decorating my home and my classroom.  I have never, ever done a classroom “theme”.  I didn’t even know they existed until 3 years ago.  I have always just used bright colors and stick kids. Last year I decided I wanted something a little bit more calming.  My students responded well to our environment and I even enjoyed it.

This year I decided I needed a little bit more.  I’m not going crazy, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to throw a pinch of more color in my classroom jobs chart (which I’m bringing back from the dead), or work station chart.  I decided on chevron! 🙂

So, needless to say, I am busy printing and laminating! Not all will go up on my walls before the school year.  I will wait until some topics are introduced before I display the charts.  I want them to have meaning and many times, without teaching, they don’t really have meaning to the little ones.
